Stubble & Stache

Stubble & ‘Stache was founded in honor of U.S. Marine Sergeant Justin Hansen, and the epic beard he grew as an elite special operations Marine (pictured above right).

Justin Hansen grew up in Traverse City, MI and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2005. Justin was an extraordinarily talented individual; the type of person who bettered everyone around him. He  served one combat tour in Iraq and two in Afghanistan.  Justin was killed while conducting combat operations in northwest Afghanistan on July 24, 2012.

Stubble & ‘Stache’s founder and fellow special operations Marine, Nicholas Karnaze, grew his beard out to honor Justin.

Facial hair can become itchy and stubble is dry and abrasive.  Nick quickly remembered this reality as he grew his beard for Justin's funeral. Unable to find products to solve this problem, Nick started formulating his own product. Word spread, interest grew, Stubble & 'Stache was born.

After almost a year of product testing and coordination with a cosmetics lab, Stubble & ‘Stache had its first product:  a two-in-one beard conditioner and facial moisturizer.   Finally men can care for their skin, condition their beards, and do their job without the itch – and look good doing so.

Stubble & 'Stache donates a portion of profits to charities supporting our wounded heroes and their families, with particular interest in organizations combating post-traumatic stress, depression, and other mental wounds.

All of our products and packaging are proudly made in the U.S.A.

In honor of Justin.  Semper Fidelis, brother.
